भारतीय कम्पनी सीरम इंस्टिट्यूट तैयार करेगी ऑक्सफोर्ड यूनिवर्सिटी की वैक्सीन के 300 करोड़ डोज, 50 फीसदी वैक्सीन भारत के लिए होगी
ऑक्सफोर्ड यूनिवर्सिटी की वैक्सीन का ह्यूमन ट्रायल भारत में भी होगा। देश में यह ट्रायल सीरम इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ इंडिया अगस्त के अंत तक 5 हजार वॉलंटियर्स पर करेगा। कम्पनी के चीफ एग्जीक्यूटिव अदर पूनावाला पूनावाला का कहना है कि 1493 करोड़ रुपए की लागत से वैक्सीन के 300 करोड़ डोज तेयार किए जाएंगे। वैक्सीन की लॉन्चिंग से पहले इतने डोज तैयार कर लिए जाएंगे। यह इस साल के अंत तक भी आ सकती है।
ऑक्सफोर्ड यूनिवसिर्टी सीरम इंस्टिट्यूटके साथ मिलकर वैक्सीन को तैयार करेगी। इस वैक्सीन की सप्लाई भारत समेत 60 दूसरे देशों में होगी।कंपनी द्वारा बनाई जाने वाली वैक्सीन 50 फीसदी भारत के लिए होगी।
पुणे में 4 से 5 हजार वॉलंटियर्स को दी जाएगी वैक्सीन
अदर पूनावाला के मुताबिक, हम ट्रायल की परमिशन के लिए ड्रग कंट्रोलर जनरल ऑफ इंडिया से आवेदन कर रहे हैं। अनुमति मिलने में एक से दो हफ्ते लग सकते हैं। ट्रायल के लिए मरीजों तक वैक्सीन पहुंचने में तीन हफ्ते लगेंगे। अगस्त के अंत तकपुणे और मुम्बई में होने वाले ट्रायल में 4 से 5 हजार वॉलंटियर्स को वैक्सीन दी जाएगी क्योंकि यहां संक्रमण के सबसे ज्यादा मामले देखे गए हैं। यह तीसरे चरण का ट्रायल है।
हर माह 7 करोड़ डोज तैयार करने की योजना
अदर पूनावाला का कहना है किशुरुआती चरण के ट्रायल में यह साबित हो चुका है कि वैक्सीन सुरक्षित है इसलिए देश में होने वैक्सीन ट्रायल में बुजुर्गों और हेल्थवर्करों को भी शामिल किया जाएगा। वैक्सीन तैयार करने के लिए कम्पनी विशेष अनुमति लेगी ताकि हर माह इसके 7 करोड़ डोज तैयार किए जा सकें।
कम्पनी ने 30 लाख डोज तैयार किए गए
सीरम इंस्टिट्यूट के सीईओ के मुताबिक, सबकुछ योजना के मुताबिक होता है तो तीसरे चरण के ट्रायल में दो महीने लगेंगे इसके बाद नवंबर तक अंतिम अनुमति मिल सकती है। अभी जो हालात हैं उसके मुताबिक, इसे अगले साल पहली या दूसरी तिमाही में लोगों तक पहुंचाया जा सकता है। कम्पनी ने वैक्सीन के 3 लाख
डोज तैयार कर लिए हैं। इसका निर्माण मशीनरी क्षमता और सटीक परिणाम समझने के लिए किया गया है।
क्लीनिकल ट्रायल में असरदार साबित हुई वैक्सीन
सोमवार को क्लीनिकल ट्रायल के नतीजे जारी करते हुए ऑक्सफोर्ड यूनिवर्सिटी ने कहा था, नतीजे अच्छे सामने आए हैं। सोमवार को मेडिकल जर्नल द लैंसेट में छपी रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, यह वैक्सीन पूरी तरह सुरक्षित और असरदार है। इस जानकारी के बाद ऑक्सफोर्ड की वैक्सीन फ्रंटरनर वैक्सीन की लिस्ट में आगे आ गई है।
ऑक्सफोर्ड यूनिवर्सिटी की ओर से किए गए ट्वीट में भी कहा गया है कि AZD1222 नाम की इस वैक्सीन को लगाने से अच्छा इम्यून रिस्पांस मिला है। वैक्सीन ट्रायल में लगी टीम और ऑक्सफोर्ड के निगरानी समूह को इस वैक्सीन में सुरक्षा को लेकर कोई चिंता वाली बात नजर नहीं आई और इससे ताकतवर रिस्पांस पैदा हुआ है।
