Fish can have ‘tumour-promoting’ effects - ‘major risk factor’ for colon cancer

Some fish are more likely than others to retain toxic compounds found in marine algae after ingestion. These may have tumour-promoting effects that could be implicated in a series of gastrointestinal complications, including cancer.
