ERIC MORECAMBE became one of the most prominent comedians in British popular culture as part of the double act Morecambe and Wise, alongside comedy partner Ernie Wise. The duo began performing on stage and radio before securing a contract with the BBC and later Thames Television. Yet behind the scenes, it was sadly a number of heart attacks that led to Morecambe's early death.
