COVID-19: Extra 1.7 million are told to shield as they wait for vaccine

ALMOST two million more people will be asked to start shielding after a new Covid risk assessment model was developed. Around 1.7 million adults in England will receive letters saying they will be added to the NHS shielded patients list - almost doubling its size from the current 2.2 million.
