Covid-19 next year: Will either of the new Covid strains become Covid-20?

COVID-19 has now split into several distinct strains since the pandemic ignited last year, with the UK currently in the throes of an "out of control" outbreak of a new variant which is up to 70 percent more infective. Will the new strain of Covid become Covid-20?
