John Lewis rolls out 'shopping areas' within Waitrose but hint at larger store closures



JOHN LEWIS has announced that it is trialling the introduction of "shopping areas" in Waitrose stores in some parts of England. However, the retailer has also said some of its larger stores will remain permanently closed when the UK national lockdown is eased, and hinted at a difficult trading environment for physical stores which could see more large stores close.
