देश में युवा 50% से कम, सबसे ज्यादा बिहार-यूपी में-सबसे कम केरल में, 40 साल में मृत्यु दर 8.6% तक घटी

देश में 57.2 फीसदी आबादी की उम्र 25 साल या उससे अधिक है, चाहें पुरुष हो या महिला, शहरी हो या ग्रामीण। रजिस्ट्रार जनरल व जनगणना आयुक्त कार्यालय ने सैम्पल रजिस्ट्रेशन रिपोर्ट 2018 जारी की है। रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, देश में कुल 46.9 फीसदी लोग युवा हैं। इनमें 47.4 फीसदी पुरुष और46.3 फीसदी महिला हैं। राज्यों में सबसे ज्यादा युवा बिहार, उत्तर प्रदेश और झारखंड में हैं।

प्रजनन दर: सबसे ऊपर बिहार, यूपी दूसरे पायदान पर

देश की प्रजनन दर (फर्टिलिटी रेट) में तेजी से गिरावट हो रही है लेकिन उम्र लम्बी हो रही है। यानी,लोग लम्बे समय तक जी रहे हैं। कई राज्य ऐसे हैं जहां फर्टिलिटी रेट बढ़ने से जनसंख्या बढ़ रही है। इस मामले में भी बिहार सबसे ऊपर है, राज्य का फर्टिलिटी रेट 3.2 है। पूरे देश में सर्वाधिक (57.2%) युवा यहां हैं।

दूसरे पायदान पर उत्तर प्रदेश है। यहां काफर्टिलिटी रेट 2.9 है और कुल युवा 52.7% हैं।

जन्म दर:सबसे ऊपर बिहार, सबसे नीचे अंडमान-निकोबार

रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, सबसे कम फर्टिलिटी रेट (1.7%) केरल का है। यहां 25 साल से कम उम्र के युवा मात्र 37.4फीसदी है। फर्टिलिटी रेट को प्रति महिला पर औसत बच्चों की संख्या के आधार पर निकाला जाता है। शहरी क्षेत्र के मुकाबले ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में 25 साल से कम उम्र के युवा अधिक हैं। बिहार में शिशु जन्म दर 26.2 फीसदी हैं वहीं अंडमान-निकोबार में यह आंकड़ा सबसे कम 11.2 फीसदी है।

मृत्यु दर: छत्तीसगढ़ पहले पायदान पर, सबसे नीचे दिल्ली

मृत्यु दर के मामले में छत्तीसगढ़ पहले पायदान (8%) पर है वहीं, दिल्ली में यह आंकड़ा सबसे कम 3.3 फीसदी है। पिछले 40 सालों मेें देश में मृत्यु दर घटी है। 1971 में यह 14.9 फीसदी थी और 2018 में यह घटकर 6.2 फीसदी हो गई। मृत्यु दर के मामले ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में घटे हैं। पिछले एक दशक में मृत्युदर 7.3 फीसदी से घटकर 6.2 फीसदी हो गई है।

ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में यह आंकड़ा 7.8 फीसदी से घटकर 6.7 फीसदी हो गया है। वहीं शहरी क्षेत्र में मृत्यु दर5.8 फीसदी से घटकर5.1 फीसदी हो गई है।
