Eating fruit and veg can slash your risk of death by 30% - but it's not 'five a day'



FRUITS and vegetables are paramount for long life. As a rule of thumb, British health bodies advise eating five fruits and vegetables per day. Studies, however, point out that the advised quantity may not suffice to boost lifespan.
