रिसर्च टीम ने ऐसी चिड़िया खोजी है, जो आधी नर और आधी मादा है। इसका नाम रोज-ब्रेस्टेड ग्रूजबीक्स है। इसके एक हिस्से में नर चिड़ियों जैसे काले और बड़े पंख हैं, वहीं दूसरे मादा वाले हिस्से में ब्राउन और यलो पंख हैं। इसके चेस्ट पर कोई स्पॉट नहीं हैं। यह मादा चिड़िया का लक्षण है।

इसे खोजने वाले पेन्सिलवेनिया के पाउडरमिल नेचुरल रिजर्व के रिसर्चर्स का कहना है, जब चिड़िया नर और मादा दोनों होती है तो इसे गाएंड्रोमॉरफिज्म कहते हैं।

कब होता है ऐसी चिड़िया का जन्म
रिसर्चर्स के मुताबिक, ऐसी चिड़िया का जन्म तब होता है, जब नर के दो स्पर्म मादा के ऐसे अंडे से मिलते हैं, जिसमें दो न्यूक्लियस होते हैं। ऐसी स्थिति में भ्रूण में नर और मादा दोनों का क्रोमोजोम आ जाता है। ऐसा चिड़ियों में कम ही होता है। 64 साल पहले अमेरिका के पाउडरमिल एविएशन रिसर्च सेंटर में ऐसा मामला सामने आया था।

रिसर्च टीम में शामिल एनी लिंडसे कहती हैं, यह मेरे जीवन का बेहद अद्भुत अनुभव रहा है। चिड़ियों की जनसंख्या की गणना करने के दौरान ये हमें मिली।

अधिक गहरे और बड़े पंख वाला हिस्सा नर चिड़िया की तरह है और दाहिनी तरफ छोटे और हल्के रंग वाले पंख हैं, जो मादा चिड़िया होने की खासियत बताते हैं।

यह चिड़िया मादा की तरह अंडे भी दे सकती है
यह चिड़िया उत्तरी अमेरिका में पाई जाती है। अगर यह माइग्रेट करती है तो मैक्सिको और दक्षिणी अमेरिका में भी पहुंच सकती है। यह कार्डिनल फैमिली से है।

वैज्ञानिकों के मुताबिक, आमतौर पर चिड़ियों में दाहिने हिस्से वाली ओवरी ही एक्टिव होती है। इस चिड़िया में भी दाहिना हिस्सा ही मादा वाला है। इसलिए यह अंडे भी दे सकती है और प्रजनन भी कर सकती है।

प्रजनन के लिए सबसे जरूरी बात
एनी लिंडसे कहती हैं, भविष्य में नर की तरह काम करेगी या मादा की तरह, यह इसकी आवाज पर निर्भर करेगा। अगर यह नर चिड़िया की तरह गुनगुनाएगी तभी मादा आकर्षित होंगी। या यह भी हो सकता है, यह खुद नर चिड़ियों की तरफ आकर्षित हो। ऐसे मामले बेहद दुर्लभ होते हैं, जो कई तरह की नई जानकारियां देते हैं।

एनी कहती हैं, यह चिड़िया हमें 24 सितंबर की शाम को मिली थी। यह आगे चलकर नर की तरह बिहेव करेगा या मादा की तरह यह इसके पंखों और आवाज पर निर्भर करेगा। मुझे लगता है इसके पंख नर की तरह अभी और विकसित होने की संभावना है। इसके रंग और ज्यादा वाइब्रेंट होंगे। नर और मादा के बीच की लाइन और ज्यादा गहरी होगी।
