वजन घटाने के लिए 70 साल के विनोद बजाज ने पैदल चलकर 1500 दिनों में 40 हजार किमी की दूरी पूरी की, बोले; वजन घटता गया जोश बढ़ता गया

वजन घटाने का ऐसा जज्बा बहुत कम लोगों में ही देखने को मिलता है। आयरलैंड में रह रहे भारतीय मूल के 70 वर्षीय विनोद बजाज ने 1500 दिनों में पैदल चलकर 40,075 किलोमीटर की दूरी पूरी की। विनोद ने इसे 'अर्थ वॉक' का नाम दिया है। भारत के पंजाब में जन्मे विनोद ने गिनीज वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड में आवेदन किया है। उन्होंने 40 हजार किमी से अधिक की दूरी आयरलैंड के शहर लिमरिक में रहकर पूरी की।

वजन घटाने के लिए 4 साल पहले शुरू की थी यात्रा
विनोद ने वजन घटाने के लिए पैदल यात्रा 2016 में शुरू की थी। लगातार पैदल चलने के कारण उनका वजन कम हुआ तो जोश और बढ़ता गया। उन्होंने पैदल चलने को अपने रूटीन में शामिल किया। जब कभी भी मौसम खराब होता था तो वह मॉल में अपनी यात्रा पूरी करते थे।

शुरुआती 3 महीने में 8 किलो वजन घटा
विनोद के मुताबिक, जब पैदल चलना शुरू किया तो शुरुआती 3 महीने में रोजाना 700 कैलोरी बर्न होती थी। इससे वजन 8 किलो मे कम हो गया। अगले 6 महीने में वजन 12 किलो और घट गया। रिटायर्ड इंजीनियर विनोद कहते हैं, वजन घटाने के लिए मैंने खानपान में कोई बदलाव नहीं किया है सिर्फ पैदल चला हूं।

चेन्नई में पले-बढ़े और 43 साल पहले आयरलैंड आए थे
विनोद का जन्म पंजाब में हुआ था लेकिन पले-बढ़े चेन्नई में। 1975 में वह मैनेजमेंट की पढ़ाई के लिए ग्लासगो गए थे। वह आयरलैंड 43 साल पहले पहुंचे थे। अभी वह यहां के लिमरिक में रहते हैं। वह कहते हैं, 2016 के अंत तक मैंने 7600 किलोमीटर की यात्रा पूरी कर ली थी। सबसे चौंकाने वाली बात थी कि मैं भारत से लेकर आयरलैंड तक की दूरी पूरी कर चुका हूं।

चंद्रमा की परिधि से भी अधिक चले
विनोद कहते हैं, शुरुआती दो साल में 15,200 किलोमीटर की यात्रा पूरी करने के बाद पता चला कि मैं 10,921 किमी. वाली चंद्रमा की परिधि से भी अधिक चल चुका हूं। इसके बाद 21,344 किमी वाली मंगल की परिधि के बराबर चलने का निर्णय लिया। मैं जानता हूं यह आसान नहीं होगा लेकिन लक्ष्य पूरा करने के लिए चलता रहा।

कोरोना वैक्सीन के जल्द आने की खबरों के बीच ब्राजील ने झटका दिया है। ब्राजील के हेल्थ डिपार्टमेंट ने बुधवार को कहा कि देश में चल रहे एस्ट्रेजेनेका और ऑक्सफोर्ड यूनिवर्सिटी की वैक्सीन के तीसरे चरण के ट्रायल में एक ब्राजीली वॉलंटियर की मौत हो गई है।

वॉलंटियर के बारे में अधिक जानकारी नहीं जारी की
वैक्सीन की दौड़ में आगे चल रही इस वैक्सीन पर भारत सहित दुनियाभर के देशों की उम्मीद टिकी हैं। पुणे के सीरम इंस्टीट्यूट में इसी वैक्सीन का प्रोडक्शन हो रहा है। तीसरे चरण के ट्रायल का कोआर्डिनेट कर रही फेडरल यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ साओ पाउलो ने यह नहीं बताया है कि जिस वॉलंटियर की मौत हुई है, वह कहां का रहने वाला है।

जारी रहेगा ट्रायल

फेडरल यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ साओ पाउलो के प्रवक्ता के मुताबिक, ट्रायल में शामिल हुए 10,000 वॉलंटियर्स में से 8,000 को ब्राजील के छह शहरों में वैक्सीन की पहली खुराक दी गई है। इनमें से कई लोगों को दूसरी खुराक भी दी जा चुकी है। वॉलंटियर की मौत के बाद भी वैक्सीन का ट्रायल जारी रहेगा। ऑक्सफोर्ड के वैज्ञानिकों ने कहा है कि वैक्सीन की सुरक्षा को लेकर चिंता करने की जरूरत नहीं है।

अमेरिका में बंद थे ट्रायल
इससे पहले सितंबर में ब्रिटेन में वैक्सीन के ट्रायल के दौरान एक वॉलंटियर को अस्पताल ले जाना पड़ा था। इसके बाद दुनियाभर में ट्रायल रोक दिए गए थे। हालांकि, अमेरिका को छोड़कर बाकी सभी जगहों पर ट्रायल फिर से शुरू हो गए।
